Sustainably Sourced Timber
Made from spruce, a renewable softwood, we source our timber from sustainably managed forests in France and Germany.
All our wood is Class 3 under EN335, meaning it is certified for outdoor use and ability to withstand exposure to weather. We also treat it with autoclave technology to ensure enhanced resistance to moisture and decay.
Engineered for Strength & Beauty
We use glue-laminated timber (glulam), renowned for its high strength-to-weight ratio. This allows us to span larger areas with fewer support posts—maximising solar generation while reducing foundations.
Steel drainage systems and galvanized components ensure robust, weatherproof performance.

Materials We Use
All our wooden solar carports are made of high quality renewable softwood - particularly spruce, which is sourced from sustainably managed forests in France and Germany.
We use glue laminated timber to enable us to make our structures and increase solar generation area while minimizing the number of support posts required.
Glue laminated timber has a lifespan of over 50 years, and all the timber we use is given preservative treatment in an autoclave to prevent environmental and insect damage as well as increase resistance to moisture and decay.
